Supporting the REALTOR® Relief Foundation: Helping Those Impacted by Hurricane Helene
September 30, 2024In the wake of Hurricane Helene’s destruction across the Southeastern United States, the REALTOR® Relief Foundation (RRF) has been working tirelessly to provide aid to those affected. With widespread devastation across six states—Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Tennessee—100 lives have been lost, and millions of families are left struggling with floodwaters, power outages, and lack of access to basic necessities.
Washington REALTORS® is proud to contribute $25,000 to the RRF, as approved at our recent Board of Directors meeting during the Fall Business Conference, but we know there is much more to be done.
We urge you to consider making a personal contribution to the RRF. Washington state homeowners have benefited greatly from RRF assistance during times of crisis, and now is our opportunity to pay it forward. Your donations, no matter the size, can make a profound difference for families affected by Hurricane Helene.
State and local REALTOR® associations in the Southeast are mobilizing to help their communities. For example, Florida REALTORS® and Georgia REALTORS® have activated independent disaster relief funds, and NC REALTORS® are leading local efforts to provide aid. Northeast Tennessee REALTORS® have even opened up their office as a drop-off point for supplies to assist flood victims.
