Honoring Juneteenth | A Day of Celebration and Reflection

Celebrated on June 19th and marked as a Federal holiday in 2021, Juneteenth commemorates the day in 1865 when enslaved people in the South learned of their freedom—two whole years AFTER the Emancipation Proclamation went into effect. This day reminds us of our journey toward equality and the work still to be done.

At Washington REALTORS®, we're committed to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in the real estate industry. We encourage you to honor Juneteenth with us by learning, participating in local events, and supporting Black-owned businesses.
