III. Washington REALTORS® Education Classes

A. Co-Sponsorship with Local Associations (Class-in-Box)

The Washington Association of REALTORS® has 33 local associations. Many of these associations co-sponsor classes with Washington REALTORS® Education. At least 90 days in advance of a calendar quarter (i.e. Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall), local association staff or authorized representatives (e.g. education chairs) should select the course(s) that they would like to offer. However, prior to contacting the instructor(s), they should contact neighboring associations to ascertain whether any conflicts might exist. Further the local association should determine which “financial option” (see below) they would like to follow.

At least 60 days in advance of a calendar quarter, the appropriate representative of a local association that would like to offer a particular class should contact the Washington REALTORS® Education instructor who they would like to teach the course. Once the date, course title, and instructor expenses (see I-D) have been determined, the local association should contact Washington REALTORS® Education via the “online class proposal system” to request the course. This should be done at least 30 days in advance of a calendar quarter. Washington REALTORS® Education will then verify whether there are any conflicts with other classes that might have been scheduled by other associations in their region. If no conflicts exist, a contract will be signed by Washington REALTORS® Education and sent back to the contracting association.
